Hello and welcome! My name is Mona Mahfouz, interior architect. I’m the artist behind these handmade faces, and my story begins with memories — not my own, but the ones my mother used to share before dementia slowly took them away. She often spoke of my grandfather: a proud man in his red tarboush, and his thick mustache, a figure full of character and tradition. As her voice grew quieter, I found a way to keep those memories alive — through clay, color, and sculpture. Each face I create is a tribute not only to my family’s past, but to Lebanon’s timeless heritage
